Audrey and Andrew’s wedding felt like a love letter to the Joshua Tree landscape they return to again and again. Set against the open desert at Nxwhere California, the florals pulled directly from the colors and textures of the surrounding terrain. Their palette centered on a soft peach as a grounding neutral, layered with lively pops of orange, lilac, and airy delphinium blue. The result felt joyful and organic, like a gathered armful of wildflowers shaped by the season rather than a strict formula.

Audrey’s bouquet carried that same balance of restraint and playfulness, bright without being overpowering, and full of variety in both color and form. After the ceremony, it was repurposed on the sweetheart table, continuing the story into the evening. Reception tables were dotted with floral moments woven between tapered candles and fresh fruit, creating a relaxed, abundant atmosphere that felt both intentional and effortless. Every element worked together to echo the desert’s natural color shifts, subtle at first glance, then full of surprise the longer you lingered.

Thoughtful design doesn’t end when the celebration does. Here’s how the florals from this wedding were handled with care, intention, and long-term impact in mind.

  • Unused flowers and plant materials were composted and later returned to the garden to enrich soil and support future growth

  • Rental items were returned to in-house inventory for reuse at future celebrations

  • Floral mechanics were either composted when possible or cleaned and returned to stock for reuse

  • Packing and transport materials were reused, saved for future floral deliveries, or recycled responsibly

  • Water used to hydrate flowers was reused to nourish garden plants

  • Compostable beeswax hemp twine or wire was used where possible and added to compost after use

  • Boutonnière and bouquet packaging was recyclable or reusable

  • Bud vase arrangements were donated to Morongo Basin Unity Home and DesertArc, then composted after being returned
